Around March 2021. The university sent out an advisory that some information of individuals linked to the University are openly available on the internet.

What is compromised ?

• Name of individuals
• email addresses
• phone numbers ( in some cases )

How was it compromised ?

The university has mentioned in their advisory that the data leak happened through an event registration page ( which was later taken down )

Aftermath

• The Swinburne officials have also mentioned that they have contacted the individual affected and appraised them about the data leak.
